Goal Weight Date Calculator
Pick a goal and a pace, and see the date it lands on — plus the daily calorie gap that pace actually costs.
Rate of change
1.0 lb per week
Sustainable rates depend on where you're starting: roughly 2 lb a week if you have a lot to lose, 1 lb if you're moderately overweight, and half a pound or less once you're already lean.

How this is calculated
The date is a straight-line projection: the distance to your goal divided by your weekly rate. The calorie gap uses 3,500 calories per pound, so 1 lb/week works out to 500 calories a day.
Projections beyond five years are not shown, because a straight line stops saying anything useful at that distance.
This is deliberately simpler than the forecaster inside the app. That one fits an exponentially weighted regression over your last 180 days of real weigh-ins, discards outliers, and draws a 95% confidence band — none of which is possible without your weight history. How the in-app forecaster works.

A forecast built from your real weigh-ins
Once you have logged weights for a couple of weeks, the app stops guessing from a fixed rate and starts fitting your actual trend — recent readings weighted more heavily, outliers discarded, and a confidence band that widens the further out it projects.
