About
Built for people who gave up on food trackers
Most people who quit tracking don't quit because they stopped caring. They quit because logging a sandwich took four minutes and three wrong search results. Food Loops is an attempt to remove that specific friction without asking for your identity in exchange.
AI that understands real food
Not everything you eat has a barcode. Photograph a plate, describe a meal in a sentence, and get a usable estimate — so the food you actually eat is trackable, not just the food that comes in packets.
Privacy by architecture
There's no account, so there's no profile to leak. Your logs live in a database on your phone. We can't sell what we never receive, and that's a structural fact rather than a policy we could quietly change later.
Protein first
Protein is the macro most people under-eat and the one that most affects how full you feel and what you keep when losing weight. Targets are built around it rather than treating all calories as interchangeable.
What makes it different
No account, no login, no email address collected
Food logs stored locally and never uploaded
Natural-language logging instead of database archaeology
A Satiety Score and NOVA rating on every food
Weight forecasting fitted to your real weigh-ins
Blood sugar insights if you wear a CGM — iOS only
Who builds this
Food Loops is made by Rubber Bands LLC, a small independent studio. It isn't venture funded, which is why the business model is a straightforward subscription rather than anything involving your data.
There's a sister app, Rubber Bands, for resistance band training. Nutrition is one half of the equation and training is the other; the two apps are independent but built on the same principles.
