FAQ
Welcome to the Food Loops FAQ! Here you'll find answers to common questions about privacy, features, and subscriptions. If you have a question not listed here, please contact me.
Q: How does Food Loops protect my privacy?
A: Your privacy is top priority. Food Loops stores all your food log data locally on your device—never on our servers. This means your information is never uploaded to the cloud, and when you uninstall the app, all your data is permanently deleted.
- Food logs may be considered Protected Health Information (PHI). We treat your data with the same care as medical information.
- You can back up your data and restore it later if needed. To do this, open the app, go to Settings > Backup & Restore, and follow the prompts.
Q: What makes Food Loops different from other food tracking apps?
A: Food Loops is designed for accuracy and ease of use:
- Build your personal collection of foods and drinks from scratch—no more duplicate or mismatched entries.
- Snap a photo of nutrition facts for reliable tracking (barcode scanning is also available).
- Optimized for people who cook at home or eat out frequently—no more struggling with generic databases.
- AI-powered features help you log meals quickly and accurately.
Q: How do I cancel my subscription?
A: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:
- Open the Food Loops app and go to Settings > Subscription.
- Follow the prompts to cancel or update your plan.
- If you subscribed via the App Store or Google Play, you can also manage your subscription through your device's account settings.
